The Shelly Plug S Gen3 is a third-generation smart plug that allows you to monitor energy consumption and remotely control appliances via smartphone, tablet, PC or home automation systems.
This version (Gen3) is already compatible with the Matter standard, allowing integration into all major smart home ecosystems. This is possible thanks to its improved processor and greater memory capacity.
In addition to WiFi connectivity, with the Range Extender functionality, it also has Bluetooth connectivity and can function as a Gateway, to connect sensors, buttons, or other BLE devices to your WiFi network.
It can be controlled via the main home automation services available today and can also operate autonomously on a local Wi-Fi network. It has a built-in web interface that can be used to monitor and control the device, as well as to adjust its settings.
It supports up to 2500W (it has a 12A relay) and a built-in power meter, as well as several protections (against overheating, overvoltage, overcurrent and overload) and a circular LED light, indicating the power level (alternating between the colors green, yellow and red). This light can also be turned off or used as a night light, allowing you to choose the color and intensity of the light.
With support for the KNXnet/IP protocol, Shelly Plug S Gen3 opens up the possibility of seamless integration with home automation systems based on KNX, one of the most robust and widely used standards for building control.
